Why I’m Completing My QQI Level 6 Training Delivery and Evaluation
Over the years, I’ve built a strong background in workflow optimisation, process improvement, communication systems, and practical technology training through my role at Northern Trust and through working directly with businesses via Tech Media Éire.
But one thing I strongly believe in is that experience should never replace learning.
That conviction was reinforced recently when I spoke with Ciara at Solas, who is part of Aiready.ie, Ireland’s national AI literacy initiative.
That conversation opened my eyes to the breadth of support and resources available to Irish businesses, and what struck me most was how much shared ground we had. Both of us are working toward the same thing: helping small businesses move from uncertainty around AI to genuine confidence and capability.
The Irish Government launched Aiready.ie with an ambition to upskill one million people in AI. Minister James Lawless put it plainly at the launch:
“AI readiness is no longer optional. It is essential. Being AI-ready is about more than technology. It is about giving people the skills, confidence and understanding they need to participate fully in an AI-enabled society.”
That is exactly the kind of shift I see every week with Irish SMEs.
The biggest challenge most businesses face with AI is not access to the tools. It is confidence, understanding, and knowing what to actually do with them once they have them.
Most teams are already paying for platforms like Microsoft 365 and using only a fraction of what is available to them. Not because the tools are too complex, but because nobody has taken the time to explain them properly, in context, and at the right pace.
That is why I am currently completing my QQI Level 6 Training Delivery and Evaluation qualification.
Not because I need a certificate to prove what I know, but because the businesses I work with deserve structured, properly evaluated learning experiences rather than sessions built on confidence alone.
The qualification is designed to give trainers a structured approach to delivering professional training, with a strong focus on practical delivery rather than theory alone.
It strengthens the training design and evaluation side of what I deliver so that every session has a clear structure, measurable outcomes, and genuine skill transfer rather than simply a transfer of information.
Aiready.ie will also be featured as a trusted resource on the Tech Media Éire platform, because good work should point people toward the right support, not hoard the conversation.
At Tech Media Éire, the goal has never been to overwhelm businesses with technology.
It is to make technology feel clearer, more useful, and more human.
